I understand that new layers will lay sporadically at first. How long after they start laying before they become more regular and are laying daily? (I'm having a hard time finding any info beyond avg age of first egg.)

Not all breeds lay daily. Many breeds lay 3-5 eggs a week for a few weeks before taking a break. Very few breeds lay continuously through the season.

For most it takes a month or two to regulate.

Based off of your information I was able to look up my breed and find more info. Thanks again

Can you list some breeds that lay almost daily and continuosly? Just curious:)
Generally sex links, and sometimes leghorns, are breeds that come to mind.

Season has a lot to do with production as well. Hens lay more in spring under increasing daylight, and less during the seasons of decreasing daylight. Light affect the pineal gland, and regulates hormones, and production in poultry.
