I have a silkie who went broody in March. I let her sit on one egg, but it got collected when I went on vacation (chick would have hatched -it was fully developed and fuzzed

. She went back to laying, so no problem, right? In the last 2 days, I have a welsummer, a barred rock, my silkie, and even a black sex link who have gone broody! Four of my eleven hens are now sitting on eggs!!! Three of them are crammed into one nest box, and the silkie has her territory staked out on the floor. Now I have to decide whether or not to let them hatch the eggs. Will they all be able to share the one nest box if I let them, or would you separate them? Are the rest of my hens going to go broody, too? I wasn't suprised when the silkie went broody again, but come on now..... a sex link?

Don't let them sit together in one box, they could break each others eggs and cause a big mess.

I wouldn't know.

It seems like you are going to have a big family of chicks soon.
