My garden was under water when I wanted to plant my seedlings, so I put most of them in containers. As the garden dried out I transfered most of them out of the containers and into the garden. The ones that I left in the containers have been doing great until last week when I noticed that the last cucumber plant was turning yellow, and has since died. I also noticed that 3 tomato plants were wilting, so today I dug holes and put the tomatoes into the garden. The containers were about 2 gallons in size and were root bound as can be. No wonder the plants were wilting, I hope they

make it now that they're in the ground.

found some more things root bound. I started seeds in my basement this year and as they grew I transfered them to bigger pots, The seed pots I used were made from newspaper. I would tear the paper off the bottom of the seed pot thinking that the roots would grow down and out and just yesterday found out that the roots were bound inside the seed pot. Odd that the roots didn't grow out of the pot.
