Contaminated litter

I suspect coccidiosis in my flock. When I clean the coop, what should I do with the litter? Also, treating with Corid. Should I discard the eggs and if so for how long?

Corid does not require an egg withdrawal time. What dosage are you using in the water? How old are your chickens? The main things to do is to keep the bedding as dry as possible, change the bedding when it gets soiled , and remove the bedding to a far away place or bag it. After a year, that soiled bedding can be good for compost or gardening. You can call your local vet to see if they would let you bring in some combined droppings in a ziplock bag for a fecal float to look for worms and coccidiosis.

Thank you for this reply. I did speak with a vet and she explained no withdrawal time for eggs. I normally do compost the litter for the garden and she said that is perfectly safe also. Thanks again!
