Hi,
I am looking for ideas to convert several 10 hole metal laying boxes into a front roll out. Has anyone done this with success?
I have looked for ideas, and can’t find any for the conversion for the metal nesting boxes.
I would need to remove the entire front, however all I can find online are the plastic inserts, and no replacements for the metal front with openings.

This is what I have right now

I really don’t want to buy 4 new roll out nest boxes, if anyone out there have some ideas, please send them my way.
Below is the area I thought I could find online with holes in it to insert the premade rollout nests. After searching for days, I have not been able to find just the front part.

These are the plastic inserts I saw online.. I am not sure if they are total garbage or decent.

Premier1 sells these inserts that might work. You’d have to figure out some way to firmly attach them and put them at the proper slant to roll out.

I have four of them that I tried to use to make my community nest box into more of an individual four hole. It sorta worked and they are atleast easier to remove and clean than the previous set up. The plastic is heavy duty and holds up well to drilling holes in it or other modifications.

Yes, thank you. If I can figure out how to configure the front metal part, I will be good to go

The part you are pointing to in this pic?

I would be tempted to remove it and see if I could cut it in half lengthwise to allow the roll out box to fit either under or over the gap that would create. A good pair of tin snips might do it maybe.

Yes, that is the one. I am afraid if I screw it up, it will either cut them, or I will be left with a useless nest box
