converting horse shelter to chicken coop? (now with pics!)

Wow. I agree with patandchickens, that's going to make a much better chicken coop than horse shelter!

I like the doors - I'd paint 'em some bright funky color.

ok...drumroll please!

A lot of work has been done since I first posted the pictures. Still NOT done, but have made a lot of progress..

here is what has been done so far..

Hardware cloth up over openings...it was not completely secured in the picture but it is now!

Roosts up, although I have already decided to make them longer

temporary nest boxes...until I can get DH to make real ones!!!

I did the same to the other side of the shelter. I also fenced in the area between the two runs to make a third run. I placed my old small coop in there and made a grow out pen for the younger chicks!!

still need to work on nest boxes and painting...but its livable!
