I’ve got a 4 foot x 8 foot purchased coop with 8 external nesting boxes along the front.

I’ve got 3 old girls and 5 new chicks I’m going to add to the coop today.

8 nesting boxes are overkill and a waste of space.

I want to convert some of the nesting boxes to food and water stations and/or a dust bath area.

Have any of you done something like this or have any suggestions on how to do it?

Knock the dividers and fronts out of half of them and place your feeder/waterer there.
Or it could just be more floor space, don't have to put the feed/water there.
Might be tricky if it's all nailed in place, depending on your tools and skill set.

Or leave the front on part of it and fill with sandy dirt for a dust bath.
They might use it for that, or not.
