Cooking potato peels

So ive read that potato peels are for the most part no good and only are if they have no green on them so i was wondering can you feed any potato peel green or otherwise i u cook them?

I have only been a hen keeper for 4 weeks so I am no expert. However I have been feeding mine about twice a week with cooked peelings. Hens seem to enjoy them and none are sick all seem very happy From what I have seen any green potato is a big no no. To be honest I only cook them because my dad told me to do it. Have read a few threads where people give them raw with no harmful effects.

The toxin in potatoes doesn't break down in normal cooking temperatures. The peels are good food, just not with the green on them.
