Your incubator is coming along awesome!!! My project has come to a little halt. I'm waiting for my plug and play thermostat/controller (ReptiTemp 500r), because electronics scare me! I was thinking about doing the water heater thermostat, but I thought if there was one thing I'm going to spend some money on with this incubator it better be the device controlling the temperature! It is so funny that you talked about the two strings coming up through the top of the incubator, because that is exactly what I was planning on doing. I'm going to put those little backpack clips on them so it will hold the side up that is clipped. Also, it will keep the string from falling back through the hole! Just my luck!!! I think I'm finally going to make it to the hardware store today to puck up some wood for the racks, but it is supposed to be 115 degrees here today, so I may wait until tomorrow morning. My racks are going to be about 15"x13", so they should hold a fair amount of eggs. HeeHee... My poor hubby, he just rolls his eyes and bites his tounge when I talk about incubating more eggs....

I think 115 degrees would fry my brain. That would be a heat wave over here with warnings going up everywhere.
