I picked this up at Wally World today for $9.88.
My coop has been pretty hot lately and now we are having to deal with flies. I also don't get my eggs out until the afternoon and want to lower the temp in there.

I mounted it with the clip and wire ties to the ceiling of the coop pointing down at an angle. It has two speeds and I find that low is enough to move the air so the flies left and the temps are lower. I was afraid that the high setting would be too much air and noise for the birds at night so I will probably keep it on low for now. This is it all installed.

I mounted a surge protector in my coop when I got it and I have a 100ft cord run out to it. It's always ready for you to plug in a fan or heat lamp.

Great idea for the fan! For your fly problem I HIGHLY recommend these:

You can get them at Walmart I'm sure...they're GREAT! Worth the few bucks it costs for them....believe me! Once they're full you just throw the whole thing away...wheee!
