Coon Proofing the top of a coop?

Please try to remember tho if a raccoon can reach in the wire they will kill you chickens, they wiggle there fingers to get the chickens curious and then they get em i have pens wired top sides and the top and the on the ground underneath the pen and still have to lock my birds in the pens at night i dont trust any wire at all here we have way too many raccoons.
