Photographs of my 12 x 12 coop under construction. It isn't quite finished yet, but due to weather some things will wait until spring.
View media item 7898415Concrete block foundation. The ground underneath has been leveled, at least somewhat.
View media item 7898434Framing has been completed, as well as the floor. I don't have any images of that, but it was pretty much exactly like the 2nd floor's floor, only set on the blocks. Sheets of pressure treated plywood were laid down and nailed.
View media item 78984162nd floor joists slash roof for 1st floor are up.
View media item 7898417This coop is pretty far off the ground. Take that, minks.
View media item 7898418T1-11 sheets are mostly up.
View media item 7898419Ventilation along the top. There is the same amount on the opposite side.
View media item 7898420More T1-11
View media item 7898421Framing for trapdoor
View media item 7898422Chickens have taken this thing over. Get your poopy little butts away, I say!
View media item 7898423First roof truss is up! You can see the frame we used to put it together in this image.
View media item 7898424All the trusses are up, and we got the T1-11 up too. Hurrah for pre-painting.
View media item 7898425Glue for the floor... those patches are for us to step on so we can get the vinyl on.
View media item 7898427Finished floor. It was technically way too cold to do this but we were out of time.
View media item 7898426Roof trusses from the back.
View media item 7898428Plywood and some tar paper are on.
View media item 78984292nd floor slash roof view from inside the coop.
View media item 7898430We bought a large tarp to cover the plywood, because there was snow predicted and we are not fast roofers.
View media item 7898431Doors are on.
View media item 7898432Trim on the front is on, as is (almost) the rest of the tar paper and some shingling.
View media item 7898433Windows are cut. The roof has been completed at this point.

What's the second floor for, just more storage?
