So the coop I got for my chicks (two and a half weeks old as of not) came with a small run attached to it. However, we places the coop inside a larger run to give the girls more space. The ramp that leads he mini-run into the enclosed area of the coop goes through a gap. Should I install a kind of door on this gap to keep them in the coop dairying the night? If so, how could I do that.
Also. The coop does not contain a tray on the bottom for feces. Should I make one? I don't mind constantly cleaning hay out but will it affect the chickens negatively?
