I'm gonna use this space for my chicken coop/run and I was wondering if anybody has any ideas to make it as easy as possible?
P.S. I only have two chickens and this is a big space and I will clean out the weeds of course.

Well my first pice if advice it don't just build your coop for too chickens cause we all have done it before when we walk into the feed store an see that run full if baby chicks an you black out an wake up at home with three new chicks starring at a brooder box!
Second advice is build a coop you can get in an stand up with head room like mine-
400

It's about 8 ft tall an I love it!!!!
My second advice is READ READ AN RE-READ this web site for chicken coop designs.
Third pick out a good breed for your coop!
Fourth- ventilation ventilation ventilation ventilation ventilation ventilation infact I actually added three more ventilation holes to my coop today!!!!!!
Fifth is drainage that's important!
Sixth- desire what type of method you will use to clean/maintain your coop!
Ex: compost method- where one uses sand dirt ect. In the run an when it fills to the brim with poop dump more dirt/whatever on top an keep doin it till the run is full an then at the end of the year, month ,week whenever shovel all of it out an start new.
Seventh decide these KEY factors about the coop-
1.) what type of waterer you will be using
2.) where will you put the waterer
3.) what type/name brand feed you will use
4.) what type of feeder you will use( I recommend pipe feeders)
5.) where you put the feeder
6.) where you will store your feed an in what container
7.) what color you will paint the coop
8.) how many laying nest
9.) the coop needs places sun AND shade
10.) an my last most IMPORTANT tip is Double, no Triple, no QUADRUPLE the SAFTY factors of your coop!
Ex. I put a concrete footer around the base of my coop so nothing can dig under
Hope all this helps!!! ;) :)

My question would be....that is a recessed space. Does it drain well when you get heavy rain? It looks like it could flood.
