Coop Build - what to do for roosts/poop boards?

My husband and I have been building our first coop. I am completely stumped on what to do for roost and poop boards and what do use in them. Including some progress photos for recommendations.

W: 7FT
L: 8Ft
H: Still in question... we are thinking 6ft from the floor.

Front door is on the short end - side closer to the SUV.

here is a photo of our roost. It has a roost with a poop deck under it and the bottom level is the nesting boxes. I will have some of my girls going broody so wanted the nest area on the ground level. I use bermuda grass with DE dusted under it. It dries the poo quickly and keeps down the flies.

Pretty much the same as others have done and use Sweet PDZ with a kitty litter scoop and this sifter from Bed Bath & Beyond. This photo was during the expansion phase of the poop table.


When you build the roof make large overhang over what I assume the nest box is to protect it from rain and such.
