Coop Construct near Water Well

We are just starting in our construction options for our upcoming chickens. We have 2 site options on our one acre, however are wondering if we need to be concerned about contamination of our house water well if we build a coop nearby its location? In western Ny, wells are fairly shallow and I believe ours is approx 20 feet down. Should we avoid this area with the chickens and if so, is there a safe distance away to recommend?

Not a water expert but a lot depends on the soil. If both location options are suitable go with the one farthest from the well.
