Hi. So I'm currently building with my bf a greenhouse that will be turned into a chicken coop and am looking for some ideas for the inside for the chickens. Like maybe a bookshelf they can make nest boxes in, or chairs? Any and all ideas welcome.

This is the wip of the coop/green house. It will have no floor fyi

Is this going to be the actual coop, or the run? What material are you using for the walls? An actual greenhouse with clear plastic sheets for walls, or are you using the frame of the greenhouse and building actual solid (opaque) walls on it to turn it into a coop? Right now it's not very clear what the plan is here.

Oh it's just for sleeping. My chickens free roam in the day. This will be for bed time and egg laying.
Yes but what material are you using for the walls? And where do you live? (what climate) Coops can really heat up in the summer and hold on to heat well into the night, after the outside temperature drops, ending up being much hotter than outside both during the day and at night. With opaque walls like wood, at least they stop the sunlight, but clear plastic like on a greenhouse will allow light inside, and the space will get even hotter than with wooden walls. So if you were thinking of using clear plastic, I would strongly suggest you reconsider, and whatever you choose to build the walls out of, make sure you leave lots of open (but predator-proof) ventilation.

It's got vents, and it's a very thin plastic. I live in a wet climate mostly, we don't get a lot of sun and when we do, it's lasts for only a few hours. The chickens we have are tropical chickens.

The thickness of the plastic doesn't matter, it's the transparency letting light in that will build up heat inside. It's called "the greenhouse effect" for a reason, and can heat up a greenhouse even in winter. You'll need more than just ventilation if you use clear plastic - you'll need to leave one whole side open, like people do in tropical climates.

Definitely needs walls that keep the sun, heat, and predators out.
Very good point - thin plastic will leave your birds vulnerable to everything that wants to get in.
