I'm looking for ideas and inspiration for a coop design that includes an area specifically for a broody hen to hatch chicks safely. I'm planning out my coop build to fit at least 20-24. We'll be raising dual purpose birds, and so letting a broody hen or two hatch chicks each year will require a safe area in the coop to do so. I'd rather not have a separate coop for this. Have you seen any ideas or done this yourself? Thanks for your replies!

I am wondering how big your coop is? You will loose coop space somewhat to dedicate a section off just for chick hatching purpose.
I opted for separate broody hutch accommodations just outside the coop. It gives my broodies peace and seclusion from the other flock members messing with them and the eggs. It allows chicks a couple weeks to gain strength before I just add mom and chicks back in the coop (after dark).
I have minimal problems with this set up.
I added the link below if you want you take a look.
