We are about to finish our very first coop (chicks arrive 8/8)! Have any of you named your coop? If so, what? Also I'm looking for chicken (hen) sayings or verses. Thank you! This site is SO informative...and fun!

My coop and run are going in right next to our swamp...er I mean habitat...er pool

After a few years of begging my DH to fill it in (he wanted to fix it for the grand kids) he has finally agreed to fill it in next year. It's 20x40 and will now be a vegetable garden. In memory

of the once loved now hated swamp...er pool, we will be naming our coop "Swamp Chickens". I'll use the old pool tiles in some sort of art project / stepping stones for the coop area. Might as well have fun with it. It was gorgeous when the kids were growing up but not worth the cost of fixing for our 2 week Oregon summers

Ours is an old two seater out house turned into a coop we call it THE LADIES ROOM

Our coop is Maison d'oeuf and here is my favorite chicken saying.....

"I dream of a better world where chickens can cross the road without having their motivations questioned." That's going up in our coop along with "The early bird gets the worm."
