I am new to this chicken game and have a coop kit that we set up. There is no floor to it which is fine but we were wondering what is better for the chickens. To have deck boards for a floor which are easy to clean and offer protection from predators or just have the ground as a floor. I know they would like to have the bare ground to pick and scratch for bugs and stuff but the deck board floor seems safer and cleaner. Any suggestions?
Also we are in VT so we would like it to be semi mobile so we can have the coop closer to the house in the winter time.
Thanks for your help with this issue.

It is great that you joined us!

I would use the floor and make it predator proof. I have read too many times about burrowing predators killing chickens
