I've been searching for some roll vinyl flooring to line the floor of my new coop. The question that I have is that I found some 4 x 8 sheets of material that are used for shower walls. Has anyone used this for flooring instead of vinyl. I don't see why it would not work. I was going to silicone seal the seams and also around the baseboards and be done with it. It should be easy to take back up if needed and replaced. And it should be water proof. What do you guys think ????

The new coop is a 8 x 12 with full 8" ceilings. The chickens will have a 50' x 50' yard to play in with 6' high fencing. I'll post pictures when it's finished as well as my flock. I've been working on this project for quite a while now to spread out my cost. My wife thinks I'm crazy to spend this much money on chickens. She calls my coop and pen the "Chicken gated comunity"...

thanks in advance

I would think that stuff would be great. It's waterproof, and if you used silicone seal it should work perfectly.

Be sure to use pine shavings on the floor, about 4-6 inches thick. They don't do well on hard surfaces, plus the pine shavings keep the coop warm/cool.
