Coop floors??

new to the chicken realm and just built an 8'-12' addition to my existing shop to house chickens. My plan is to free range them for the most part.

My question is on the floor do any of you put a coat of paint or water seal to help improve the live of the sheeting??

I think it's strongly worthwhile painting (or whatever) the coop floor, not just for water resistance but to make poo come off easier. Even if a person is going to put vinyl flooring down I think paint (or whatever) is worthwhile, since some moisture WILL get in between the vinyl and the plywood at some point.
