Newby here! I am so excited about my progressing coop that I just have to tell someone, lol! I havent had the number of posts I need yet to be able to post pics, but they will come soon. My run is made out of 2 12x6x6 dog logs... ill do the math for ya, it will be one 12x24x6 run. My husband is building my chicken house. It is a walk in style, probably 6x8x6. I am using an old door off of a tobacco barn...hey, it adds character! I plan on have 6 large nesting boxes, sort of stacked like shelves... 3 on each parallel wall. Also I am having roosts built on walls that dont have nesting boxes on them. I am using 2x4 for roosting perches. Right now I am raising 3 baby golden laced cochins. They will be 2 weeks old next Tues. I want some other breeds as well... right now I am looking for true araucanas. I am very happy and can not wait to show off my final project. Luckily I have patrolled BYC for over a year and I have noticed how people take photos while their coops are being built, so I am photoging the whole process as well! Thanks for reading, lol
