Well, the coop and house are done! We have never built anything in our lives so any feedback/suggestions are welcome!

Yes, you can just see a tiny corner of it. We nailed a tree branch in. They are using it but only to hang out. I think they are still sleeping in the pine shavings.

We use pine shavings because my husband is horribly allergic to hay and straw. I would rather use the cheaper varieties of bedding and nesting but there you have it. We have one Rhode Island Red and One Plymouth Rock. This Saturday I am going to go get two more chicks (a Buff Orp and maybe a silver lace).
