Coop/Pen Size?

We are looking into hatching coturnix quail. And right now, we are in the planning process of building their pen/coop. However, we are trying to figure out the size we are needing.

24 quail would need what size pen/coop? This would be for long term housing.

At least 24 square feet of floor space. I also add space for feed and water. I have my birds on 1/2" wire and provide them with boards to get off the wire if they want. Scraping the boards from time to time is very easy. If you are wanting to breed your birds then separate them into groups of one rooster to 4-5 hens. Coturnix are easy to take care of.
