Hello guys. I am reading mixed reviews on here about spacing for chickens. Does it matter by breed? What I would like to know is I have ten chickens, one EE, two BUFF Orpingtons, four Rhode Island reds, and three SLW- how much space on the roost for each chicken? Also for nesting boxes should the roost also serve to get up to the nesting boxes? Or should they be in seperate spaces. Thanks in adavance!

Roost spacing recommendations (usually 1 ft per bird) is only a guide. The more space that you can give them, the better.

Nesting boxes should be below the height of the roost (and not underneath the roosting area), since a chicken will always choose the highest place to roost.
