Coop Plans

So last week (exactaly) I got my first waterfowl in the mail (1 cayuga drake, 2 cayuga hens, and a pair of brown chinese). School get out tomorrow and I was looking for a project. I decided that I wanted to build a coop for my birds (along with a couple of planter boxes). So I want some advice about sizing, materials, etc. And if you guys have any coop plans that work well let me know. Oh and I also wanted to make it a hinge top house, what are your thoughts about this?

congrats on your new babies. I'm not any help with the coop plans though. My ducks and geese live together on a 12x12 patio. it has pvc lattice around it to make it pretty and chicken wire to make it preditor proof. (sides and top) there is a 8x4 sheet of plywood on a diagonal slant to provide wind block and shade and a tarp over the top to keep rain off of them. they have rubbermate totes on their sides to "nest" in. They free range during the day only getting put up for safety at night.
