coop/playhouse combo safe for kids?

Hello, I have an existing 2-story fort and would like to convert the bottom area to a roosting/nesting area with a run built onto the side. My kids still use the upper story. I have seen a few other posts where people have done this and I am curious if anyone has run into safety/health concerns with a kids area above the chickens. I have ample space for our 4 hens. The kids love the chickens and I suspect they will be hanging out with them a lot anyway. Thanks!

The risks are likely minimal, but watch out for poop! It can be slick, and also, depending on their age, they could get e. Coli from touching the poop inadvertently.
