Here's some pix of the coop I inherited with the property. I am getting some SS in early June. I'm not a carpenter nor electrician but I can fix things some what. Seeing what I have to work with, what do you think of the time and money it would take to get this thing in a safe, usable, predator proof condition? Ideas?

I definitely think that there is ALOT of potential there! Wow-how nice to already have the structure there! I don't think it looks too shabby...alot depends on the inside as well. Is there any rotting? That framing around the window will be easy enough to remove to place some hardware cloth over the window, then replace the trim. Voila! Predator proof window...I think you could have it up and running in no time.

Once you put on a coat of paint, you'll be amazed at the transformation...then it won't seem so bad. I think it's a great start! Good luck! And keep us posted as to how it's gong.

I'm new here, but by the looks of it. There is mold and mildew on the outside. Your best bet may be to tear it down and save the good wood and build a new one. If the mold and mildew isn't as bad as it looks you may be able to clean it good with bleach, and still use it. A lot will also depend on how it looks on the inside.

No mold or mildew on the structure and the inside is clean and dry. I'll have to wait a bit for inside pix cause its raining now and I have to get all the plastic plant hangers out of there. (It was used as storage after it was used as a coop).

Thanks for the inputs. I don't feel so depressed now!
