Coop/Run 80% done

Here is an updated slide show of our progress. We still need a cover over the run and to finish painting. We also need to put windows/vents in the walls. I would like to build better perches and we need their nesting boxes. But for teenage birds, this is a pretty good start. All comments and advice welcome!

Trust me, you didn't need the arrows to point out your little rooster...lol. His comb just kind of jumps out at you, doesn't it?? It looks like they will be quite comfortable in there

That last slide went by too quickly, so I didn't see how you were connecting the run to the coop, or is it not connected yet? I would do a search on dropping boards. They really help keep the coop clean. Since you'll eventually be redoing your roosts as your birds get a little older, you might consider them. You've done a very nice so far!

Great job so far. I second the need for dropping boards. I clean mine off every day and the coop stays nice and clean inside.

I'm soooooooo jealous of people that have something to start with!! What a cute shed...it makes a great coop

Looks like you're going to have some spoiled little chickies....and one big red combed rooster!
