Coop/run almost done!

My wife and I have just about finished our first coop and run. We got our 2-day old chicks on 3/29 and started our coop on 4/4. Been working mostly weekends to try and finish it and get the chicks moved into their new home. We have a pre-fabbed coop that we’re going to put our Faverolles in, as we planned raising two separate flocks. That coop should go together much faster than our design-from-scratch coop! To anyone who doubts they can build their own coop, it’s much easier than you think. We had fun building it together and it feels good knowing you did your best to provide your beloved chickens a solid, comfortable and safe home! We just hope they reward us with many eggs for years to come!

I don’t have any good pics of them, but I’ll post what I have. My wife really wanted a Faverolle rooster, but we didn’t get one. The only roos that came from the hatchery were EEers. I think we’re going to keep one for each flock.
