Hi, I'm going to build an 8x10 coop and attached run. I live in east Texas, and we get tornado warnings. What kind of measures dovish need to take so my coop doesnt blow away?? Lol I'm very new to Texas....do they even blow away? Lol would love any input. Thank you!!

I doubt it's possible, although you can build for 'moderate' winds. Use your building standards for homes relating to hurricane resistance, for example.
Building into a hillside would be best, or an underground house. Then adding lots of ventilation!
Up here it's all about snow load, so things don't collapse in winter.
I don't have either a house or any other structure that will last during a serious tornado! My basement will be where I go, with the dogs and cats, and everyone else will have to take their chances...

A direct hit from a tornado will destroy anything. The thing you need to be worried about is high winds, which could conceivably blow over a coop if it's not anchored. Also the run should be secured somehow. I have a run made from dog kennel panels and the wind collapsed it once.

A mobile home anchor would work for your coop.

Our run-in sheds, movable so not attached to foundations, can blow over in 90+ mph straight line winds. If your coop is built well and anchored to a foundation, it will be safer (again, look at hurricane building standards).
Only you can decide how much money to spend for better security!
