Coop size?

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie so sorry for any simple questions. I am building a small coop in the back of our shed. It is a little over 2 feet deep 7feet long and 8 feet tall. It will be housing 2 chickens. My wife is concerned it is too small. What do you think? Thanks for any advice.

I think that sounds big enough. Is it possible you could make it 2 1/2 or 3 foot deep or even four instead of just 2? Will the chickens be in there constantly or will they be allowed to free-range some of time?

They will be allowed to free range. I think I will try to add a foot or two in depth. Thanks!
