I am in the process of converting part of my greenhouse in a coop for my 15 RIR girls. I have a 8'x7' area that is sectioned off from the rest of the greenhouse. It has a dirt/stone/sand floor currently. Can I add pine bedding on top? They will have a covered 7'x12' run very shortly and when they are grown they will be able to free range in the yard during the day. Thanks for any thoughts.

Instead of pine bedding I would add more sand. Since you already have the start of that type of floor bedding. It will be easier to keep clean and maintane. It works well for Dawn Suiter here on BYC and I have seen here coops. You have less chance of bug or other critter making a home out of it also.

Please post some pics. Would love to see it.....
