I lock my ducks in the coop with my chickens at night. I use a regular chicken waterer but it always seems to get dirty and filled with shavings even though I've elevated it a bit off the floor. Just wondering if there is a better watering system I should l consider for the ducks when inside the coop. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

With my ducks (2 rouens about 4 months old) they make a mess of whatever water source they can find! Probably because they like to stick their whole head in the water! And their bodies if they can fit! I've tried chicken waterers but they play in it until its empty. I finally just bought a good sized, black, rubber textured feed bowl at Walmart, and I put fresh water in that every day and change their pool water every other day. (Sometimes every second day) and it works good, they can dunk their entire head in the bowl but its too small for them to get in it and swim. Ducks will mess up anything if water is around! I hope I helped you :) good luck!

Well that is all that is in the main part of the duck barn here, come winter i switch to a heated bucket. Some of the stalls don't even have feed/water the layout doesn't allow for it.,
