I had posted another thread about how many bantams might fit in a given sized coop n' run.
Many folks commented that just becasue banties are physically smaller, that does not mean they are not active-quite the reverse.
Had I had one of those flasehes of inspiration this morning that seems to explain this. It woul dseem that a small dog, like a Jack Russell or Schnauzer would be great dog for aprtment life. Of course you'd be wrong on that-these little guys are very active and need the chance to move! It seems like reverse logic, but often times big dog will do better in the small space of an apratment becasue they are happy just to laze around and not need to be always moving.
Does it follow with chickens-little bantams are always moving, but something like a Jersy Giant might not be quite so active?
