Coop's what's the poop?

We have 6 chicks!
What size coop do I need?
I think 3 nests @ 12"x 12" should do for eggs.
How are coops laid out?
I know I need h2o, food, roosts and nesting.
One door and a ramp I'm thinking.

Two nests are plenty; they will probably only use one.

Because they will probably want to stay inside when snow is on the groune, I would build as large as you can. An 8x8 shed would be great. It is very difficult to ventilate a small, reach in coop well, to prevent frostbite. Here are a cou[le of excellent articles, written by a canadian:
