Copper Maran 8 weeks old... please help me seperate the Hens from the roos.......

I took 3 photos of each Chicken... I would like to get your best guess on if I have a Hen or a Roo on my hands.... I have color banded them to help me with identification purposes. Thank you so much.. I really appreciate it!!!

I am not an expert, but if they are only 8 weeks old, the only one that looks like a pullet to me is Lavender. The other ones have huge combs and wattles for that age. They are all gorgeous!

yep... I hatched them all out myself ... they were born May 12th

looks like you might have four pullets to me ..... but judging someone's birds other than our own is difficult even with pics .

They all look good !

I think Lavendar and Peach are pullets...and Green might be a pullet...my BCM's matured quickly as well. (See photos in byline below...I got 1 roo and 2 pullets).

What is the give away is the red bars on the wings...those should be your roo's....and the first bird...with that much comb at 8 weeks, is a roo too.

See the copper on the wings and middle of the back? This is how a young cockerel colors in. Any of the birds with copper feathers on their wings are boys for sure.

my marans hens only had gold on their heads and necks the rest of the body is black....the ones you have that have gold on their backs i would say are all roos

Purple Chicken has next to no Copper but has the face of a Roo.... Will it be easier to tell in two more weeks.. or will it be harder- since the *girls* will be starting to get redder Combs?
