Copper Marans (black) quality of eggs

Way to get extra Omega 3 in your eggs is to feed the birds a microalgae-based feed supplement like All-G-Rich by Alltech , Inc.
Alltech has some fascinating white papers about it online.

This is all part of a very exciting movement in nutrigenomics. In other words, how the young birds are fed actually changes the genetics of the bird for the better.
Yup, we can actually make a better bird by how we feed it. And I believe I am correct in stating these genetic changes are inheritable by the next generation.
Best,
Karen

Please excuse me if I'm sticking my nose where it doesn't belong, but I always thought that anything that happens in an animals lifetime is not an inheritable trait. For example: a lady who goes to a tanning booth often and has very tan skin does not have tan babies.
Any mutation of the genes or cell cycle is cancerous, correct?
