Just shucked some corn tonight. Can chickens eat husks/silks and pieces of cob?

I've given them cobs of corn, but not the husks or silks. My concern was the silks causing a problem, such as knotting up inside the chicken. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I didn't want to take a chance.

dangit!! I threw the husks away the other week, because I wasn't sure (internet was down and couldn't ask here) but I know from now on! our corn stalks are about 2 feet tall so it will be a while before I get to harvest my own

They LOVE to peck at the cobs.

I don't think the husks turn their cranks too awful much though. lol

I don't think there is any fear of silks or husks being any harm at all though.

I just gave them these and yep...they were like LATER on the husks but loved the parts of the cob I cut off!

So do they not like the silks & husks? I have thrown in the cobs & they love playing with those. If some chickens will eat the husks/silks I would love to try putting them in with them.

The husks are probably just too tough for them to even try to eat. They can eat the silks and the cobs (and the corn worms, if you find any).
