mine do...they are crazy running fools! and they range all over the place!

In that second photo, they look like sheep in a field. Or maybe I need to clean my contact lenses... Cute pics.
 
There is a farmer not far from me that allows his to range also. I'm really not sure, but his always seem happy and plump, and he operates a succesful CSA and seems to have happy customers per his website.

I wonder how much food you are actually saving? I have had a few chickens totally live off free range and spilled feed for awhile but I would think that many would deplete food sources quick.
