i set 100 eggs on oct 14. 2 have hatch so far one died with in a couple hours of hatch the other one is doing good. Does eggs usually take this long to hatch? The humidity is 65% to 70% and the temp has been 99.5 to 101. This is my first time inubating quail eggs.

i am using a little gaints incubator could that be the problem? i float tested some of the eggss today and they where still moving in the water. So guess i just got to wait alittle while longer on them to hatch

If They Are On Day 21 And Havent Hatched Yet You Need To Seriously Look At Your Thermometer For Accuracy... The 2 Most Common Causes Of Late Hatch = Low Temp, And Old Eggs.

Obviuosly Some Are Still Viable As Per Your Float Test, I Would Seriously Doubt My Thermometer In Your Case--- Just My Opinion.

ok looks like i might need to go get a new one it might be off. The eggs could be old to i bought them off of ebay and it took 6 days before i got them after i bought them.

Both Are Certainly Possible Then, For What Its Worth I Use The Lil Thermo/hygro Units That You Place Directly On Top Of The Eggs--- White Maybe 3inches Wide, 2-21/2 Tall And 1/2 Inch Thick--- Get Them At Wally World For About 8 Bucks Or Less. They Seem To Be The Best Right Out Of The Box As Far As Accuracy And Of Course The Price Is Attractive Too
