Coryza/Selling eggs for eating

I’ve decided that I’m going to cull my entire flock because they have Coryza. (My goal was to sell hatching eggs, chicks, and my older hens but obviously can’t do that now) I’ve read that you can still technically eat the eggs but I feel wrong selling eggs from unhealthy chickens. How do I politely explain to my customers that I will no longer be selling eggs….?

Eggs for eating are okay to sell. MG can pass through hatching eggs, but coryza does not. However respiratory diseases can look similar. Are all of your birds sick? What are the symptoms? Edited: oh yes, I just reread your other thread. I would contact Zoologix, and get some birds tested. They send 3 swabs to get samples from your birds. It is rather inexpensive, and then you would know what they have. You can cull sick birds, or send one into your stat vet lab for testing and a necropsy. It is always best to know what disease you are dealing with. Most of the 8 or so respiratory diseases will make carriers of the whole flock. Sorry for the illness. Many backyard flocks have dealt with a disease. Just close your flock, and tell people that you are taking a break feom selling eggs. Most of the grocery store eggs have been washed before they are sold. You might check into that, although the bloom on the egg is a natural barrier to germs.
