Cotrunix Egg with no coloring??

Really Quite strange!!!

What causes this?

I've got one right here on my desk, too.

I believe that it occurs when the egg moves through the hens body a bit faster than usual. From what I understand (and I"m NOT an expert on this) the colored spots are added to the egg at the very end of the process. IF an egg moves through too quickly, then the spots might get missed. If it stays in her longer than usual, the egg might have more spots or be much darker.

I have one of my hens that occasionally throws a white egg. It usually coincides with some kind of change to the pen.

It went through the coloring factory a little fast. I have 3 of those in the bator right now.

I like the white ones, easier to candle

I love candling those bobwhites JJ

It's easier to talk to them when you can see their face

Ok, you guys know there are genetics behind certain shell colors too????

It's kinda cool...

The white eggs that I have in the bator are due January 6th. It will be cool to see what comes out plus I can candle them.
