At what point can you tell if they are fertile?

some coturnix eggs you cant tell at all

I personally barely ever candle coturnix eggs....if i start smelling a smell i sniff out the bad egg or eggs and leave the unstinky ones in i rarely have any stinky ones... some eggs just dont develop and never end up rotting which is nice!

I paciently wait the 18 days and open up the eggs that dont hatch to see what happened
