Coturnix chick stuck - HELP PLEASE!! **UPDATE** Got him/her out!

Curled toes can be a result of hatching problems (as in this case) or it can be genetic. This one was obviously because it had trouble hatching. The ones that hatch normally, but have curled toes, usually do die in my experience. This is most likely a sign of a defect in the chick. Probably due to the parents' health.

EGG TEST!!! GET A DEEP BOWL OF WATER=== 100DEGREES- NO MORE, CAREFULLY FLOAT THE EGGS IN QUESTION IN THE WATER--- IF THEY SINK RIGHT AWAY AND DO NOT FLOAT THEY ARE DUDS! ONCE THEY ARE FLOATING GIVE THEM A FEW MINUTES FOR THE WATER TO SETTLE AND THE EGGS TO STOP SPINNING AROUND IN THE BOWL AND THEN JUST CAREFULLY WATCH--- IF THE EGG STARTS DANCING OR WIGGLING WHILE ITS FLOATING THEM THE BABY IS STILL ALIVE AND KICKING. TAKE ANY SURVIVORS AND GENTLY DRY THEM AND PLACE BACK IN THE BATOR

ALSO IF THEY FLOAT VERY HIGH UP OUT OF THE WATER THEY ARE DUDS!
