Does anyone have an opinion on the taste differences of the Texas A&M and the regular dark meat birds? Is it only flesh color that is different or is there a uniquely different flavor? I am sure there are numerous opinions.
When I had my first grilled A&M's, they tasted sweet and delicious. I remember years ago I had regular coturnix birds for a meal and they were good, but not nearly as good as these A&M's. I also purchased a package of quail at Publix and tried their brand and they were ok, but dark meat and not as good as my own birds.
I am debating as whether to purchase some jumbo brown birds along with my A&M's or just stick with the white birds and go for larger size birds.
