Coturnix Quail 10 weeks, NO EGGS.

when did they hatch? because some of my quail hatched in like august 2019 and didn't start laying until this spring

hmmm... oh! have you tried giving them crushed oyster/egg shells? or mealworm or othe protein rich bugs

I’ve given them 22% turkey game bird feed and chicken egg shells.

I was a little confused at first, thinking spring 2020 hasn't come yet.

I have one that hatched in Feb too. She has laid me 3 proper eggs. Had some with no shell that she ate, and I haven't seen an egg since. I have moved her into another hutch with more Japanese quail tho, she was in with 4 button quail before as they grew up together. The buttons have no problems laying. They have quail layer's pellets. Meal worms, grit, oyster shell, bits of veg.. I think all you can do is wait.

Yeah, I guess I’ll just have to stay patient, I put a egg in there to try to encourage them to lay, but I rally can’t spare many right now...

Got first egg from this batch today. 12 weeks and 1 day, the roo started crowing and mating last week too.
