I am so sad and helpless. My little Coturnix Quail is lethargic. Seems like she labors for every breath. I have no knowledge about any kind of foul. The owner of eggs and incubator has not returned for them. A day after they hatched I put them in a make shift cage, maintained the tempurature between 85 to 90 degree, smashed up crackers almost turning it to dust, and gave them watrer. Everything was going GREAT. Except when today came. I had two, and the one left its health is failing. If anyone has time to share anything with me for some kind of help I would greatly appriciate

one it is to cold for them should be around 95 to 99 the first week
two they need better food, if you do not have gamebird feed give them a hard boiled egg and ground up cat food until you get them gamebird feed which they NEED ASAP add a little bit of suger to their water warm them up and get them some protein

Yes...you have cold and starving chicks/chick.
Not judging you because you seam to be on the short end of the stick.

Most quail/game birds require a high protein game bird feed. As Crystal noted: Secure it ASAP!

I agree with the emergency foods! Just remember that they are not complete solutions. Only emergency measures. Secure a good source of 25+% protein gamebird starter. Crackers/white bread are EVIL!
