Coughing Duck, Roundworms?

Hi everyone. My male Pekin duck, Lucius, started coughing two days ago. I thought it could be gape worms but he hasn't been "gaping." He seems to only cough in the evening, but that might just be the only time I've seen it. I've read that round worms could cause coughing so I was thinking of deworming them. Of course if he looks like he is feeling worse everyday I will take him to his vet, but I'm trying to avoid some expenses. What do you all suggest I should use for wormer?

I would get a fecal sample to the vet, and think about his environment in the evening. Is the bedding moldy, perhaps?

No the bedding is good. I have a brand new bale of straw tonight, although it does seem a little dustier than usual. I didn't see any coughing tonight though.

I called the vet today, but the avian vet isn't in. So they're gonna call me tomorrow to make sure they can take it. Fingers crossed!
